Thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of TS owners have defaulted on timeshares and have been foreclosed upon. Nothing special here.

How do you know there will be no dings on your credit?

How would you know if hiring a lawyer had anything to do with it?

I think you spent $3500 for no benefit, but to each his own.

was about to post that, plenty of examples for sure of this very thing happening.

but hey, you were provided the facts and you felt paying $3500 was fair so more power to you. the goal of TUG is not to make decisions for you vs give you the information so you can make a decision yourself.

however that doesnt change the fact that you could have had these same results without paying a huge upfront fee like that.

We see so many questions about scam companies, and new posters praising the scammers, that it is easy to think shill whenever someone praises a company after paying thousands of dollars. However, in this case Finn is a legit law firm. I doubt that they would jeopardize their reputation and licensing by illegal fake posts.

Looking at the poster's prior posts, I vote no. If they are they are much more sophisticated than any shill we've seen. Also, as noted, the law firm actually exists with a real lawyer.

Yes, Michael Finn (if the same law group here) seems to be reputable. I’ve seen him on several episodes of Timeshare Solution or Surrender with Irene Parker. $3500 is on the low end of most timeshare exits. I would also suspect that the poster was never promised that there wouldn’t be a credit hit or negative consequences to the actions being taken. In most cases, defaulting on maintenance fees only rarely has any such consequence. Default can be and is legitimate legal advice. In most timeshare exit schemes we see mentioned, none of the people are attorneys, even those with the term “law” in their name.
