FF Points and RCI

Hi

I became a Fairfield member last year through re-sale and i have a couple of questions regarding my ownership and I was hoping someone could shed some light on them for me.
1. I was given a bill for my 206 MF and I sent a payment in for the month of January, but have not seen a bill since. How does that work?

2. I was also told that in being a FF member, RCI membership is paid for through FF. Is this true, or do I have to do that on my own?

3. The salesman also pitched to us when we visited Ocean Walk that RCI has last minute deals called Getaways in which you can purchase a wee at the last minute for $149.00. When I become RCI member, does this automatically come with it, or did I need to do it throgh the developer?

You have been subject to a sales pitch, sometimes the sales people create confusion.

I told you that the term "Getaways" is a term used by Fairfield to offer promotional tours (usually 2 or 3 days) at a discounted price, the requirement being that you have to attend a timeshare presentation.

You also said they are available through RCI for $149?. RCI now uses the name "Last Call" and offers one bedroom units for weekly stays at $149 for inventory that will expire shortly.

So, i'm not sure what the salesperson told you and I'm not sure how you interpreted the information or misinformation.

The probable item discussed is one of the above.

Perhaps you mean #2?

Fairfield pays your RCI membership for you as part of your Fairfield membership.

As to your first question, FF can set-up automatic billing for your MF either thru your checking account or credit card. I use the credit card option to extend the "float" and to get frequent flyer points on my AmEx card. Go to the FF website and look for the phone number for Financial Services, they will help you get that set-up, but I think they work only normal business hours (M-F 8-5pm).

There might be a question regarding whether FF will pay your RCI membership if you bought through resale. I know they will if you by from them.

It does not matter, if you purchased your Fairfield points, or fixed week, at resale (except, of course, in your pocketbook). A portion of the maintenance fees at each RCI-affiliated resort (as most Fairfields are), automatically include the annual RCI membership fee.
