Happened at Westgate Lakes. They have the clean out team then the next team comes in to get the unit ready and then they have the supervisor team to make sure everything looks ok. It's Westgate so it doesn't surprise me.
Given the amount of pot use we smelled at Westgate Lakes when we were there, it seems drug use there isn't uncommon. I am sure it happens at other properties too. We find all kinds of things that were missed by housekeeping at different resorts all the time.
I know it does. The only good thing about fentanyl addiction is it replaced heroin addiction not that either are good. Its because I can wash the silverware but someone finding the wrong end of a needle might have a problem.
Sad situation. I have also found items that housekeeping missed at both hotels and timeshare resorts. I am sure there are items left behind that get missed by housekeeping and me, as I don't go searching under beds or low furniture etc.
One of our boys found some 'little blue pills' under a night table in a timeshare we checked into in Daytona Beach in the early 90's. They were playing hide & seek and one was wiggling under the bed when he spotted them. Thankfully the boys brought them to me right away. It helped that the son who found them was around 6 years old and knew not to take any pills a parent or responsible family member didn't give them. It could have been really bad if they had been toddlers like the child in the story and taken even one.
The cleaners need to be doing a much better job given some of the things and soiled items we have found in timeshares over the last few years, but it seems with cutbacks they need to clean more rooms with less staff.
