I am new to this and hope someone knows the answer. How do you send a message to a friend that only that person can read? Does every message you send land up on the wall?
Thanks,
Winnie

Click on their name to go to their Facebook page. At the top there is a button that says "Message." Click on that button, and you can send them a private message that won't appear on their wall.

Thanks. I didn't know that either. Do you have to be their friend to send a message to them?

Another option is to select the chat icon at the top of the facebook next to where it says FACEBOOK.
This sends them a private message also. With this option you can include any amount of people in the message. So if you needed a only few people to know something this is the way to go.
