Please -- I need advice and information about getting more time on my deposit that expires July 29, 2019.
I was in the process of extending the deposit online. After agonizing whether to extend for 6 or 12 months, I started the process and was given a promo code box to complete. I started searching for promo codes on the Internet, and then on TUG. While searching, I saw a hint that an ePlus trade might enable a person to extend a deposit by repeatedly retrading.
So.... I have two questions for you experts, if you are willing to help --
1. Do you have a promo code to use to get a discount on extending a deposit?
2. Does ePlus actually give the opportunity to continue retrading after a deposit has expired?
Thank you for your help -- this is just the BEST online community!

Hi Arb:
You are correct. E-Plus may be used as an inexpensive way to extend a deposit. However, you are in flexchange, so your maximum extension is now 3 x 59 days. That's a little less than 6 months. This assumes there is a check-in date available on the 59th day of each retrade, so shave off about one week per retrade, and that's your realistic maximum extension. Will you be able to use your deposit within that period?

To purchase E-Plus, you make a trade as close to Jul 29 as possible. Then, before 7/29/19, retrade for as close to 9/26/19 as possible.

The restriction to only search manually is applied to both "regular extension" and "E-Plus retrade".

E-Plus rules are described in the II buyer's guide, beginning on page 7, item 7(a).

Where / when do you wish to travel? Is there no way to use it during the next month? I only ask, because if this deposit is at its expiration, then your subsequent deposit may be expiring in July 2020.

Too late to get eplus now.
You can call interval and ask for a replacement week. You will not get a refund on the money you paid for the exchange. You will have to pay it again.

The replacement week will be good for one year but will be restricted to 59 days in the future. You cannot use an ongoing request. It has to be selected from available inventory.

You can purchase eplus which will allow you to retrade 3 more times. So if you booked something today at the latest date you were eligible, you can extend 3 more time pushing your trade a little less than 8 months in the future if weeks are available with the right dates.

Don’t wait too much longer at 14 days you get limited to 30 days.

I got in this situation because I put in an OGS that wasn't filled and then I simply have not been able to travel -- my own knee replacement surgery and recovery, my husband's medical issues, and so on and on. Getting old is not for sissies.
I haven't done anything yet -- no exchange, no trade, nothing.
Are you saying that if I don't extend my deposit now, I will not be able to extend and search Flexchange 60 days out but only 30?

Panina's answer assumed you had made an exchange.

You will want to weigh the pros and cons between extending and eplus. Extending your deposit will cost more but give you more time. Eplus is cheaper, but since you are within 60 days, you can only use each eplus retrace for up to 59 days after each trade. As a result, the most you can get is 4 x 59 days or about 8 months. In reality, it is difficult to find 4 trades at exactly 59 days out so it's really more like 7 months total. If you aren't able to travel in the near future, I would pay to extend for a year. You can do that twice. Or find somebody who wants to use your week and gift it to them.

I haven't seen a promo code for extending a week for a long time. Promo codes now seem to be mostly targeted to individual accounts/systems and many don't work for others.

My answer was based on you doing an exchange. Is your ogs still active? Or was it for a prior date and didn’t match. If so, you will have a credit if you did not request a refund. I do not believe you will have a eplus option. You option will be to extend for 6 months at $99 or 1 year at $189. You will still be in the 59 day restriction. With your initial trade you can then buy eplus and are still in the same timeline of use.
