I’m a VIP Gold owner with some points expiring today. As far as I know, the only option I can do with them is deposit them into RCI. If that is possible, is there a fee with that? I’m under the impression that they will be available for use for 2 years. Is that true? Are there any more options I could consider?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Look up Credit Pool in the Member Directory. That might be an option ... and a far, far better one for a $39 fee.

Unfortunately that is not an option for me since it's over 6 months since the beginning of my use year.

You can reserve a week somewhere and then deposit the week itself into DAE or SFX... But you need to do it quickly since I think they need 60 days lead time and that time is almost over since it may be difficult to find something to reserve Christmas week.

Are you a member of those exchange companies ? If not, you can join them for free and free membership.

I've never heard of DAE or SFX. What are they? Can you provide me with their respective websites?

Thanks!

I just looked online about the RCI deposit. There is no fee to deposit it, just the usual exchange fee if you book something. The points are good for 2 years.

There is no fee to deposit Wyndham points into RCI. You pay the RCI exchange fee only when you hold, book or put in an on going search.

However, to deposit into RCI you use a Wyndham RT (reservation transaction) if you have none available you pay a fee. You must also have the required housekeeping credits or pay for what you need to complete your deposit.

You will need to pay the current online RCI exchange fee of $209 (to confirm a hold or to book something).

RCI nightly stays cost much less. To book a week with the RCI nightly stays the cost is $159. There is info. In the Wyndham directory regarding nightly stays and resorts that participate in the program. It costs less, for anything under a week. You can stay a few days or more. Only developer purchased points qualifiy for the nightly stays program.

Yes, you have 2 years to decide where to book your vacation with RCI, once those points are deposited.

The op is gold, Housekeeping and reservation transactions are not an issue

I've only booked RCI for weeks. I thought it cost more if you did less. Hmm.

I know it is too late for this year, but it was suggested to me, from tug members to credit pool all you points except what you need for ARP. As VIP gold, I'm in same boat, at the 6 month point, ARP is no longer a factor

Awesome! Thank you. I wasn't sure if there were any "hidden" fees because it was less than a week.
