I have an exchange at MMO in June 2020 using my Sunset Pointe, which is expiring on July 7th. It's looking like I'm going to have to cancel the exchange. I know I can retrade up until the expiration date of my week, but I don't know the best way forward. Can I retrade and then purchase e-plus to extend it out a year? How much availability does that have because I was told e-plus has its own inventory.
Should I just cancel and get the certificate II gives you? I am already within 60 days, so I know my searching options would be limited.
I've never had to cancel anything before...when I called II for clarification, I talked to three different advisors and got three different answers. :(

In my experience eplus is not different inventory. It is not supposed to be different inventory.
I have read a few people comment on II that they think they see some different availability with an eplus retrade vs another week they have in their account- but week trading power can vary for all sorts of reasons so it’s hard to tell true cause. I know at least one person posted on the II boards that they felt they saw more with the eplus.
Your eplus retrades are based on the size and trading power of your original week.

If you are already in flexchange when you purchase eplus you remain there and so will only extend your week expiration 3 xs 60days ( about 6 month rather than a year).

I am not sure if you could do the retrade and then buy eplus to extend the expiry- is there a retrade button by your confirmation? If so you could click it and start the process and see if eplus is offered before you enter payment and just cancel out if you want to. Is your week enrolled?

Your other option according to II’s current covid 19 policy is just the standard II cancellation which at 59-14 days gives you a replacement week good for a year requiring an exchange fee and stuck in flexchange.

Good luck.
