I was wondering if anyone has had any experience trading into Ireland through II. There are not too many resorts there and they look small.

I am thinking of placing a request for sometime in 2008 there using either a Marriott Grand Chateau 1br or a Grande Vista studio.

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the possibility of that, or if it's a pretty big longshot. Thanks! :)

I didn't exchange but booked a Getaway week to Ireland, off season. Once I was at the resort (Renvyle Strand), their price list revealed that it would have been cheaper to book directly through the resort itself.

My advice would be to contact each resort and check out the cost before exchanging.

Good luck! Ireland is beautiful but the weather can be wet, wet, wet.

A friend traded into Knocktopher Abbey and loved it. That resort is now II, its parent, the Seasons chain of resorts having jumped ship from RCI over the issues of rentals and points, both of which they delivered a withering broadside against in their newsletter announcing the change of affiliation.

DAE also gets a good amount of Ireland, including from time to time, Knocktopher Abbey. www.daelive.com I am sure they would be happy to take either of your weeks in trade.
