Resorts Owned
Point @ Poipu, Lawai Beach Resort, MROP/VRI, Worldmark
I went to one of those free dinner meetings a while ago.
I can't quite remember their take on things. I think they had lawyers on their team, etc. Maintenance fees scary, Developer must have deceived you so you have a legal way out.
They had you list your TS holdings prior to the presentation so they could tailor the individual breakouts.
I didn't list much, just MROP that I had for 30 years, maybe P@Poipu. I spoke with a few people who owned Worldmark like us, prior to going into the group presention.

Once they broke us out I heard them pitching the WM people pretty hard.
They got me with a rep, confirmed I owned for 30 years.
I asked the rep "whats the deal"? He casually said "no deal, we got nothing for you, you're free to go get your gift ".
5 minutes or so with the rep.

$100 gift card that was promised turned out to be a dumb Restaurant.com card.
Card probably cost them $20 based on the ads I see from Restaurant.com

Total scam

yes, these companies rely on lying to or intentionally misleading customers even more than the original sales pitch did.
