Exercise bikes... Peloton? [ merged ]

Hey Peloton riders....

I just discovered a feature that I did not know the bike had. On a pre-recorded ride you can adjust the volume in regards to balance b/w instructor voice & music.

To do this: Once you start your ride, click on the volume button on the back of the screen (I only recently discovered this). You then get a pop up where you can choose your optimal instructor/music balance.

The more you know!
Yes! I noticed that recently too. Great addition - I think it was recently added. It seems to be the #1 complaint - how do I get the instructor to "shut up?" :ROFLMAO:

My son complained about it. I've seen that complaint on FB. and, yup! There are times where I could do without the constant jabber of nothingness. gah!
Let's face it, most of us are picking the class for the music! I find Denis Morton funny and quirky, but other instructors? not so much.

Last night I did a ride with Tunude and she was doing this whole dancing / performance art thing on the bike. Enough already.

But -- that's part of Peloton. Learning which instructors you like vs. which ones you don't.

Speaking of less known features, I just found one that I find very useful.

I recently did my first FTP power zone test after completing the 1st four FTP training classes. Immediately afterwards Peloton added my personalized FTP scale under my output meter on the bottom of the screen. Now, when riding a PZE, or Power zone ride it will visually show me which zone I am working in. This is very useful when the instructors are focusing on output/ power zones vs Cadence or resistance.

May not be useful for everyone but I’m finding these rides more challenging and serious with less inane banter by the instructors.

Keep on riding!
