Exchanging into Hawaii [Maui Lea at Maui Hill]

We've been talking about going to Hawaii for a while now. Plans keep changing about who wants to go or can go. So now we're looking at going next Summer. We have 31 TPU in RCI to make this exchange (deposited San Clemente Inn Summer week).

Ideally we'd like to go to Honolulu to save money on airfare and because we like cities. But we are certain we'd have a good time anywhere in Hawaii and if we go to another island than Oahu then we may spend a night or two in Oahu before or after the trip.

I found a week in August at Maui Lea at Maui Hill that matches (only 24 TPU). I'm wondering should I take it or wait for something better?

I would take it! We are going to Maui Hill next June( private exchange) going to stay 4 nights at in Oahu Ko Olina ( Tug rental) never been to either place, just have to line up airfair, we also may fly to San Diego and stay before and after. I'll be there for 2 weeks---8/27/16 through 9/10/16. When are you going?

I don't know if you should take that, but I do know you'll need much higher TPUs to book Oahu in the summer. If you have anything you can deposit into GPX, there are a couple Oahu weeks available for the same timeframe.

We own at Maui Hill and love it there. We were there for two weeks this past March.

At this point I don't know if you've taken it, or not.

I'm also a big fan of Maui Hill.

We recently got three consecutive 2-BR weeks there via RCI exchange.

Previously, a few years ago, we deposited a fixed week we own in Florida into Trading Places Maui, and after a few months' wait got a 3-BR week at Maui Hill for it.

We took it. It's actually for 2017 so we have time to cancel if we want. But looking more into it we think Maui is going to be great for us.

Presley, makes sense but we really love using our Carlsbad Inn ownership. We don't plan to trade it ever

If you want something from GPX in the future, you can call them and ask if they will let you deposit one of your other timeshares. They do accept other timeshares from GPR owners on occasion (or so I have been told). Since you have beach locations, they will probably take those.
