Exchange Potential for Vistana Resort

Have just recently purchased a 2 BR prime season floating week at Vistana Resort. Just wondering what the exchange potential is for this resort should we choose to take our winter vacation somewhere other than Orlando. I know that I would have to go through RCI or II as this unit was purchased resale so the SVN is unavaliable. We would be looking primairily for Hawaii or other Florida locations.
 
Vistana is one of only a handfull of resorts which has a super cheap convertion to RCI points. (~$300) You may find that converting to, then trading thru RCI points, may give you the broadest number of choices.
 
I'm going to move your post to the Starwood board, because Starwood has some very special rules regarding II exchanges. Starwood resorts have a 3 day priority for all other Starwood resorts deposited with II. Using this priority, owners are able to get exchanges to the 3 Starwood resorts in Hawaii, using low cost resale weeks, but mostly off-season. There is a block on exchanging back into other Florida resorts through II, but you can get around it by asking Starwood to deposit a non-Florida week for you.

I used to own at Vistana Villages and when I did test trades in II, I was not able to see Hawaii weeks that others said they could see. I'm not sure if this is because I was using a week that wasn't actually deposited, but I don't have the same problem when searching with my SDO.
 
I have had great success trading Vistana BUT I always deposit and search at least a year out.

I did deposit my VV week but had Starwood replace it with an SDO - there is a big difference in what the 2 resorts will allow you to see on II.
