This is the first time I’m renting an EV with Alamo through Costco. It was much less than the compact SUV I have reserved with Hertz, even with adding an extra day to the Alamo reservation. My question regarding rentals in Spain is what Insurance is required? I plan on using my Chase Sapphire or AA Barclays card which provides CDW. Is PAI required or other types of insurance required? I am waiting to hear back from AllState to see if my auto policy covers rentals in Spain. I just want to make sure I am getting the necessary insurance for Int’l rentals.
As far as charging is concerned, it does seem that there are plenty of charging stations on the island and there is a municipal network station min from the resort. Does anyone have experience with EV in Mallorca? Is it worth the hassle?
Would you recommend Enterprise vs Alamo? Alamo was €50 less for the reservation than renting through Enterprise. Would you spend the extra 50 to rent with Enterprise? I usually rent through Hertz or Avis since I have status on both. I would have booked with Avis but they were nearly $300 more than all of the other companies.
