Escalating to HGVC Leadership re RCI Deposits Unable to Access-Anyone know how effectively escalate?

We own HGVC Grand Waikikian. For a while, we ended up depositing some points in RCI. No issues pre Hilton deposits.

However, HGVC requires us to access our RCI account through their website to work with our deposited points. But, for 2 years, the link has been broken and we can’t get anyone to fix it. We also can’t work directly with RCI.

We’ve tried to book through calls to Elite reps, but it’s hard to find availability without online access and they keep dropping our calls. We are about to lose 14k club points.

Any good ideas for escalating to someone with authority in HGVC/Hilton? Sales reps aren’t helpful nor is Elite call center.

This is essentially fraud (paying for something with no return value). Also, any good attorney recommendations?

I had the same issue, lack of website access, after depositing Welk points. I was able to put on ongoing searches with the Welk desk at RCI. There was no incentive to fix by either party due to transition to Interval.

I recommend you calling RCI Hilton desk. If you don't have the direct number, ask to be transferred to Hilton specialist.

Hopefully you have tried multiple internet browsers?

Just so I understand, you log into the HGVC website and from the home page, you click the RCI link and nothing happens? I click it and it works fine so it sounds like something on your end.

Try a different browser. If using a phone; try from a laptop. Disable browser extensions if you have them. Try in incognito / privacy mode. Clear cookies.

Still, good idea to keep pressing Hilton. Probably is a bug on their end.

This may be the correct suggestion. We used Safari for years, however, sometime in the past HGVC made a change to the computer program and I couldn't do certain functions. They recommended that I use Google Chrome and I haven't had a problem since.

You could try clearing your history & cached files. As a last resort, cookies.
I had one web tech have me do that and it resolved my issue.
In Chrome, it's under Settings and then Privacy & Security.

Just so you know - club rules mandate mediation, so you won't be able to sue them. The good thing is HGVC covers the cost of mediation, minus a small fixed fee you'll have to pay. Since you're interested to fight hard with them, read ALL club rules and disclosures first. Then decide what to do next.

A demand letter calling for having your RCI access fixed with a threat to initiate dispute resolution procedures as per (paragraph number from the rules) sounds like a good starting point. Whether you intend to follow up on it or not is another story. At least they're on notice that you don't f around and require them to fulfill their obligations as you are fulfilling yours (like laying MFs and club dues).

CMcCT have you tried any of the computer changes that have been recommended. I think that getting an attorney to address this issue that perhaps can be fixed by one of the computer changes that have been recommended or contacting the RCI Hilton Desk which has also been recommended.
