I have this fixed week automatically booked for me. I have tried to cancel online so I can borrow the points for a 2021 reservation. I hit click and nothing happens. Not sure if there is a time constraint on when I can cancel.

You should be able to cancel anytime. I would call HGVC tomorrow and have them cancel.

Also, before you call, try again tomorrow. I wasn't able to walk a reservation earlier this morning but was during the day. I don't understand why that to be the case.

... The agent said it's too early to cancel...

Huh? Then they ought not post it.
Seems to me, if it's early enuff to post the booking, it should be okay to cancel.
