Our first time in Kauai. We arrived on Saturday and spent a night at the hotel before checking into the KBC on Sunday. We really love this resort. It has all the amenities of a luxury hotel, including several restaurants on site. This is our first time spending a week in a lock-off unit (we own a 2BR and 3BR at GV) but it's been fine. I like the large roomy bathroom.
Another first: it's the first Marriott timeshare I've been at where people didn't get up early to "save" lounge chairs at the pool. There seems to be enough for everyone, and then some. I realize this is off-season or shoulder season, and wonder if it's like this during busy weeks.
We've tried several local restaurants as well as the resort's, zip-lined, took a door-less helicopter ride, golfed, drove to Waimea as well as to some of the waterfalls, and will be taking a sunset dinner cruise tonight.
If anyone has any questions, I'll be glad to try and answer them.
