Enhanced temporary new benefits from AMEX Aspire ( you can use the $250 resort credit towards restaurants!)

That is a nice adjustment. They likely feared too many people would drop cards, as there is little or no opportunity to use these features that make the card a good value.
 
I've got the Amex Aspire, Chase Sapphire Reserve and Citi Prestige. I just read Prestige is offering the same thing with its $250 travel credit. Chase Reserve is 5x on groceries which if you believe the travel sites, is slightly more valuable that 12x Hilton points.

It is for me. Even at 12X Hilton I'll take by Chase UR points.

Because we use the resort credit for MFs, we will spend them anyway, but making them eligible for restaurants is a very nice move.

Yes because UR points are also transferable to many different programs. But if you're trying for a specific Hilton redemption, it makes sense to use that. We are probably spending $2000 a month on groceries these days because we cook almost every night.
 
Love these new benefits. We are going to pursue Chase UR rewards first. Not only are they flexible for travel but they can be transferred to cash at .01 so could earn up to $75 per card which would offset AF.

May-June 30:
Max out Chase Freedom 5x Grocery credit for this quarter ($1500 Max)
Max out CSR 5x Grocery to June 30 x2 ($1500 Max each)

In July we will use either:
Hilton 12x or Bonvoy 6x

Which is more valuable points - Hilton or Bonvoy?

We plan to downgrade our Bonvoy Brilliant this year to a lower fee card. Not worth $450. The Hilton Aspire is a keeper.

I think the travel sites rate Hilton and Bonvoy points at 6 cents per point so the 12x Hilton is the better deal but also evaluate if you need to top up a certain account for redemption.
 
I got the email as well. The hotels and airlines have been selling large batches of points to the credit card companies to raise cash... Promos were bound to show up.. Hilton sold One Billion in points to Amex.

I would say that Hilton points are worth a good bit less than Marriott points, myself - but I'd say the Hilton offer is still slightly more valuable. I would still probably go for Marriott, if I had those options and didn't have the CSR.
 
Are MF at HGVC Seaworld counted for this $250 credit? I know my Bay Club MFs are not.
 
This is getting *crazy*. Normally, I use my Hilton Amex Surpass for 6x points on Groceries (and Gas) - worth about 3.6 cents.
A few days ago I switched over to using my Marriott Amex for Groceries to get it's 6x points until July 31st - worth about 4.8 cents.
So now I'll be using my Chase CSR for Groceries until June 30th (or $1500) to get 5x points - worth about 10 cents.

Meanwhile, I'm currently using Discover for Gas since it's a 5% cash back category through Jun 30th (or $1500)...not that I'm going to hit the cash limit during the current unpleasantness.
