Can anybody offer some advice. I had an Encore package for Hilton Head on April 10th. I was called and told it was cancelled and then given a number to rearrange my reservation. At one hour I gave up. It is hard to wait that long during business hours, so I tried the chat feature on the MVC web site. The agent told me that Encore is different then MVC and the only way to re book was through the phone. She admitted the wait could be hours long. Is there another way to reach Encore besides a telephone?

Unless you are in a real hurry to rebook, or your Encore package is getting close to expiration, waiting it out to call after things settle down may be the best option.

We had an Encore Package for April 5th and was able to call the number above on Monday a couple weeks ago and was able to get through on a relative short time. They may have even had a call back system where they held my spot in line although I may be confusing Encore number with MVC for that service. Good part is they are allowing us to reschedule past the "expiration" date as long as it is in 2020 without a cancelation fee. Have they extended the date for rescheduling?

Since the whole purpose of the Encore package is to get people into the sales presentation, i would expect them to very flexible with regards to the the expiration. They would much rather have you visit the resort and attend the presentation than just collect the fee and blow off your visit.

We cancel our Encore reservation for this May it was suppose to expire in June 2020. They told me it will be extended to Dec. 15, 2020. I called the Preview Reservation number, 800-782-5410 given to me by the Newport Coast Villas front desk to call. They gave me that number because the Encore office on property is closed. I was going to beg to them to extend the package to June 2021 so I can try to go to California again next spring. The gentleman (I think his name was Chris) on the phone informed me that the expiration for my Encore package is Dec. 15 2021. I was very please with that. I think they made the change to extend expiration dates on the day I cancelled because even my 2019 banked MVC points that were put in a holding account will now expire Dec. 31, 2021.

Oh and I waited less than 15 minutes for someone to pick up the phone.
