While in Kona this past February, I broke a tooth that had previously been crowned. Because we have Delta Dental insurance, I checked their website for a local dentist. Thank heaven I found Dr. Mark Muramoto. It was a 4 visit experience with a root canal, post, tooth build-up and new crown. He was gentle, kind, and did wonderful work. Fortunately our vacation spanned 5 weeks this year so the vacation was not totally lost. I'm now trying to figure how I can fly to Kona twice a year for check-ups and actually use the associated costs as tax deductions....hmmmmm.

If you ever find yourself on the Big Island and in need of a dentist, I hightly recommend Dr. Muramoto. His office is located on Kuikini Hwy just off the Queen K hwy.
