Well sort of. PHW is one of the normal properties in my morning II search and in today's search results, I noticed that they changed the name to "Elara, A Hilton Grand Vacations Club." If you click on the link the main description screen still says Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate. Interesting that they're making the name switch in II. Anyone know HGVC will stick with II for this property, or if they're going to RCI with the rest of the HGVC properties?

I would guess that they would move to RCI after PHW's contractual agreement with II ends.

From what I have read, the Westgate weeks will remain in II, but all the new HGVC weeks will be in RCI. I expect those Westgate weeks will be around for quite some time yet -- they may offer a conversion to HGVC, but the the owners never convert, they will always be in II.

Are there any other HGVC owners that would prefer a switch to II? It just seems they have the higher end resorts (Marriott and Starwood). Other than DVC, there aren't a lot of resorts outside of Hilton I get real excited about.

I probably would, but I found I can just use my SFX membership for that and more.

I also use SFX to get II resorts and usually get bonus weeks as well. And don't forget that some (many?) of the HGVC resorts are dual affiliated - ex: Plantation Beach Club.
