Any one familier with unit 1300 here? Its a 2 bedroom I pulled but not sure if you get the actual room stated on RCI confirm?

Also any one aware if this is one of those resorts you can not get any food or drink if you do not take the food plan. food plan not required.

Thanks

Judy

You can get food and drink if you don't take the food plan. I wasn't that impressed with their restaurant. Here's a quote from my review:

The RESTAURANT and BAR were convenient and the service was good, but that’s the best I can say for them. We ate lunch in the restaurant twice and dinner once. The restaurant offers table service and sometimes a lunch buffet. The lunch buffet consisted of a very small selection of uninteresting dishes. The day we tried it, they shut down earlier than the advertised closing time. Menu prices for breakfast ranged from US$4.50 for oatmeal to US$7.50 for an omelet; lunch US$6 for nachos to US$33 for lobster; dinner US$10.95 for pasta or small pizza to US$33 for lobster. In our opinion, the food and drinks were mediocre and over-priced. Room service was also available.
El Cid la Ceiba sells an optional all-inclusive plan. We did not purchase it, but noticed on the restaurant dinner menu that three of the eight main courses required a supplement of US$10 or more for those on AI.

We were there in January 2008 and unlike the other Judy we did enjoy their food. I also wrote a review and I think I mentioned some of the food that we had during our stay. We do not like to do the AI either and that is what is nice about El Cid - it is optional. But actually more reasonable than some of the other resorts if one is interested in doing that. I guess the biggest thing with the one in Cozumel is that there is only one restaurant.

We will be at El Cid in Mazatlan at the Marina in March. There are lots more choices of restaurants there. One can go to the El Moro Towers also with the AI. We are owners so have a Cid Shares card that gives us 25% off anything so that costs less than doing the AI even with 25% off that price.

I just looked at my notebook with info from our stay and we were on the 6th floor room 1610 (1BR). My DH cousin was in room 1510 (1BR) so if your reservation is correct I would assume you might be on the 3rd floor.

I am not familar with your unit number, but I would think that any two-bedroom unit would be very nice with a great view. I have stay at the resort twice and was happy with my room both times. My most recent trip was in May and I thought the restaurant on site was very good. I was traveling solo so didn't want to go into downtown and eat.
