ebay Seller acobbfan?

My eBay purchase from acobbfan finally went through after nearly 5 months of waiting. I got a letter from the resort yesterday recognising me as an owner. It took a long time but at least I got what I paid for.

There are 3 different weeks available to reserve in November
but I can't personally get away at that time. Guess I will just pick one and try to rent it this year.

Rent it or deposit it for exchange. If you're not familiar with DAE, it's free to join and you have 3 years to use the credit.

I already have 4 banked weeks with DAE from their recent 2 for 1 special. I would think I could rent Hilton Head for Thanksgiving week if I price it well. My 2015 use was free anyway. It would be nice to get enough to cover my purchase and closing costs so I essentially get the timeshare for free!

Does ebay seller acobbfan do shill bidding?

I retracted a bid from acobbfan on ebay because I suspected them of shill bidding. All other bidder where listed as "private listing - bidders' identities protected".
Has anyone else have any evidence of them driving up the price?

I think they are OK. They are a spin-off from a long standing recognized eBay seller.

I also totally agree with Bigrob-- in all purchases these days, you have to schedule follow up yourself. After a while, they pay you more attention.

I refuse to deal with any of the eBay sellers who use the "private listing" format. No need for it, and it just makes the seller look shady to me.

I have two closings with this seller. I have completed two others.

One of the current ones is at the 5-month mark with no deed recorded yet. Emailed them last week with no response. I haven't called yet. I'm going to "schedule follow up" for Monday by phone.
