DVC through interval

Is it 6AM ET every day? I am a bit "lucky" on the east side but yeah I haven't been able to see any DVC for a long long while. Guess I just need to set up a clock at 6AM, sure then.

Not many people will be competing against us for DVC. Now that we've been to all of the regular DVC resorts that show up, we don't really have a need to exchange in anymore. The only exception may be Boardwalk because we haven't got an exchange into there yet, though it doesn't show up as consistently as the others.

I have to refund at least one TUG membership a week because the new member tried to post a high dollar rental that turned out to be an exchange when we asked for confirmation info.

it must be very expensive to police. Perhpas you ask any renter to upload a confirmation page and then use AI to screen.

And if that’s happening with that frequency here, then on places like facebook, etc, you know it’s happening. It was bound to happen, there’s just so much money to be made by doing this.

its not terrible, the automated system we have in place is pretty good at flagging new rental listings for "additional review" and its just a matter of requesting the reservation confirmation to verify etc. In almost all cases the sort of response we get to this request weeds out the vast majority of the listings we dont publish to the marketplace, though nothing is 100% foolproof!

some people complain, some cite they dont trust TUG with their info (fine, we wont trust your word that your rental is legit either!), or other various responses that are otherwise NOT a valid form of confirmation. honestly the back and forth emails from some of these individuals takes far more time/effort than anything else. Its simply not worth the trouble over a $15 membership and we simply refund their payment.

the most frustrating ones are those who demand they are allowed to rent these out because "thats what a guest certificate is for" even after pointing out the explicit rules in the ii/rci membership agreement. heck in many of the exchange confirmation emails we get sent it says right on the email itself (in the fine print) that it cant be sold or rented out etc. This happened just the other day in fact, we even copied/pasted the language in the reply to them.

will say that I see FAR more marriotts like this than dvc though.

Has the inventory been really scarce lately? I'm trying to figure out if my unit is just not trading well. In the past six months or so it seems as if availability in interval has gone way down. Any thoughts?
It also depends what months you're looking for as I don't remember too many deposits for early-ish in the year. They usually have a lot for the summer months though. I guess people don't really want to go because it's so hot.

My ongoing searches not matching these weeks is causing me to not trust II to be fair with the DVC exchanges.

I cannot get up at 4 AM every day to watch for that DVC dump. I won't do it.
I can not even tell you when the last time I did an ongoing search. I feel like the only way I can get decent exchanges is to get up early and hunt for them...LOL .

The extra 30 minutes for early magic half-hour can be the difference between riding Tron, Seven Dwarfs, Flight of Passage, Remy, and Guardians that first half hour, or waiting in line for over an hour later in the day. If you have 7 people in your party, paying for those rides would be expensive via Lightning Lane.

The parking per car for standard parking is now $35 per day. If you have AP's, you get to park free. If you don't and stay at a DVC resort, that $190 fee pays for itself in parking alone. You can park your car free. I hope it continues that way.
