This is my first year owning DVC. As I understand, the maintenance fees are billed on 12/15, payable by 1/15, with a grace period until 2/15. Is this correct? If the grace period is utilized, is there any consequence, or do reservations made and available points remain unaffected?

So far as I know, using the grace period doesn't affect reservations or available points in the sense of cancelling reservations or losing points, but I'm not sure whether they freeze your account and prevent you from making new reservations or not.

I don't think there are any consequences for going all the way to the grace period. I have done it myself to avoid paying so many fees at once. I have a lot due at once, so paying these later is helpful.

If you have a US based bank account, you can pay monthly. There is no fee. It has to be an electronic debit.

And you pay in arrears when you do this so it actually delays the amount you pay.
