DVC access to Interval App?

I saw this question on another forum, and did not know the answer.

The person stated that DVC members access the Interval International website by going through a portal. Therefore, the person wondered if he had access to the Interval App.

Are DVC members able to set up a "username / password" to use the Interval App to search for Getaways?

The way I have done it is I first have to log into my DVC account….and you have to be a ”blue card” member. Direct purchaser or resale purchaser grandfathered in (not sure if the date, but the member should know). You have to find the tab for member benefits I think it is. Or use the search function for Interval getaways. It’s not user friendly and very slow, but no special passwords needed.

The DVC II membership does not work on the app. I see the DVC II membership when logging into intervalworld.com on the browser, but cannot switch to it. The only way to access to the DVC II membership is through the II link from the DVC website.

When I login to the II website I get to choose between my MVC account and my three DVC memberships (I own three different use years). My personal experience is that the Interval app is useless and even on my phone I use chrome to login to the website...YMMV.

The II app is good for setting up getaway alerts that can be a good way of identifying last minute exchange inventory.
