We are new members of The Club. I see that their web page offers members an opportunity to purchase points that permanently (as I understand it) increase one's annual allotment. They do not list the cost of these points. Can anyone tell us what DRI's going rate is for (say) 1000 additional points in the US collection?

If you click the buy point button you are not committed and will get the cost info then. It will be an excessive amount and not worth it.

Hogwash! When you click that button, you get this message:

"Thank you for your interest. A member of our sales team will contact you shortly to discuss enhancing your ownership."

So now I am going to get a sales call because of your advice.

FWIW, the smallest number of points you can buy here from DRI is 2000. I am more interested in 1000.

Out of curiosity I did the same thing sometime back. At that time, it gave you more information than you apparently received and there was no "Thank you for your interest....." message. No sales person ever called us.

So, at one time at least, dwojo was correct. It appears that's changed.

I have 3000 points in the U.S. Collection that I'll sell to you for $0.01 if you will pay the 2012 maintenance fees. I don't know what is involved with transferrring ownship, but I'm willing to learn.
