Does WPORV have event weeks?

I corrected above - actually I think it is 21% - 10% on top of 10% - not that it matters in scope of costs.

I was thinking of that when I wrote my note, but wasn't sure if they did the second premium on top after the first premium was applied (i.e. 21%) or if they just lumped both premiums together (i.e. 20%)...

For WPORV

How is the beach at the St. Regis?
How is the pool at the St. Regis?
What would be a good beach for a family, that is close by? (Hanalei?)

From my understanding, WPORV has "full use??" of the St. Regis facilities?

WPORV has use of the spa and beach at the St. Regis but not the pool. You will see it right away because the towels are different. However, there are lounge chairs and bar/food service right at the beachfront. It's very comfortable and you won't miss the pool at all. The beach there is very good for beginner snorkeling.

Is that confirmed? I thought they had different towels just to know you are from WPORV, but you can still use the pool......

WPORV Owners are not entitled to use St Regis pool (and visa versa) - at $16/drink they are more than happy to let you use chairs between pool and beach.

I believe she got them from the developer as part of requalifying:

Correct! We received 18K from A VV 2BR we bought for $900 and previously requaled and had to add 20K "new" money to the deal. We actually traded a 2BR Float for (3) 2BRs EOY (1 1/2 2BRs) and got all of them fixed in the hammerhead. Because we got rid of the 2BR VV and picked up only 1 EOY our SO's and SP's went up a bit, maintained 5* and our Maint. Fees went down.

We could not be more happy:cheer:

A side benefit is you can purchase food, drink etc at St Regis and charge to acct at WPORV which of course you will pay for with your SPG AMEX card and receive 4 SPs total from SPG and AMEX!

The pool is not very exciting at the St. Regis. The beach area is great for a family. We go in the winter, so it is one of the few areas that I feel safe snorkeling with my child.

It's also our sunset viewing spot. Obviously, not a direct sunset view, but quite beautiful regardless.

Because someone always asks, "Does St Regis really enforce their pool rules?" - yes, they do. More than once, I've seen staff ask WPORV guests to get out of the pool. Nicely, but firmly.
