Does [HGV] Max include RCI membership as part of the ownership? Bluegreen owner asking.

Bluegreen sales weasels are telling people at update/sales meetings that they are going to lose RCi access thru BG (paid in our club dues) unless they join Max.
Is there an RCI membership included with Max membership?

Not if you buy on the Diamond side. They use DEX instead of RCI. If you buy on the Hilton side, you still get access to RCI.

Never heard of DEX?

Googled and found it, also found this thread

So, BG owners are being pushed To buy 4,000 BG points ($10-12,000) to be able to “join” HVC Max.
That‘s another component - HGVC, Diamond/DRI and Bluegreen.

It seems they WILL lose RCI access if they join Max as Max members don’t use RCI - not the other way around.
Am I reading this correctly?

HGVC Max member still get RCI with their membership. Don't know if BG will lose it, but I would cross that bridge if you ever get to it.

Thanks,
HGVC Max includes RCI,
But does DRI/Diamond AKA HVC Max include it?

It seems if you stay with straight BG, RCI will continue but if you join HVC Max, you lose it to DEX.

And you certainly can’t trust the sales weasels to tell you the truth.

Grayfal, do you have documents that show this? just wanting to Know. Thanks. Dex was not mentioned on our last update. Thanks.

As you know, at sales meetings there is never anything in writing.
I was reporting what was said to me (online) by a member that attended a sales meeting back in January.
And since HGV Max is not rolling out for BG owners until last quarter 2025 (maybe?) nobody really knows.

Personally, I think it is a scare tactic.
What did they tell you at the update?

DEX provides access to approx 90 DRI resorts and over 4700 affiliated resorts, most of them via RCI.

@MrockStar out of curiosity ( and while I still have access) I went onto the BG website. They have a page for HGV Max FAQ And I found this info.
Please go and check it as as there is a wealth of info there. They do dance around some issues but the RCI info was straight forward.

Thanks for your response Tananth. Are you a MAX member through HGVC?
I am HGVC legacy Elite Premier, but have access to DEX (EU version) via the HGVC Craigendarroch Lodges. It provides DEX access 11 to 24 months before checkin to the DRI resorts, way sooner than MAX at 6 months, but is limited to full week exchanges only (no points based exchanges).

Ok thanks very much.

I am HVC (formally Diamond resale, now Hilton Polo Towers) and I can see week exchanges from now to January 2027 using DEX (in case you find that helpful with your search).

Don't you mean HVC? HGV is the parent company of HGVC, HVC, bHC and Embarc. Are you a deeded owner at HVC Polo Towers or pts owner? I would assume that you are deeded since you see weeks also in DEX (but honestly just trying to understand DEX).

Correct HVC and deeded Polo Towers.

Good, from my understanding DEX is available to retail and resale HVC deeded owners (I am not sure if that is true for every HVC resort) but only retail HVC trust point owners.

See my post #9 above of the screen shot from the BG website.

For Bluegreen owners
They are calling the program HGV Max

I asked @DeniseM to edit the title of the post.

Second edit
@GT75 realized you were not talking to me!

HGV MAX DRI owners, when you upgraded you Hilton/Diamond Legacy points ownership to HGV MAX did it downgrade/delete any Tiered levels, Perks" No cleaning fee's, # of Guest certificates, no amenities fees Parking fee's, Unit upgrades, Booking windows Ect". Asking as a BGV Max owner, because there is some chatter about loosing our 3 free White weeks Premier benefit as a Platinum/Diamond MAX owner.

I am so sorry to hear this about 3 free white weeks,
First they stop RCI deposits (can still deposit in II) and now possibly losing them all together?
What’s left of so called Platinum perks?

Its just rumor and speculation so far, i reviewed my MAX upgrade documents and couldn't find anything regarding our Three white weeks Priemer Benefit's. It did mention RCI member ship will no longer be paid for as a Diamon/Platinum benefit.

Grayfal are you paying for your II membership? I didnt know we could deposit weeks in that exchange system. Are you depositing your Aruba weeks there?

At the time they took away RCI, I confirmed with BG that II deposits would continue but as you see, they can change the rules any time.
I have been depositing my free white weeks for 10 years in II. Yes, I pay for my II account ( I own other timeshares that exchange thru II)
Yes, I can deposit my PUP Aruba weeks in II and three free white weeks (Hershey for years but now refused) AND other resorts such as Harbor Lights.

Full disclosure. I sold all 160K of my BG points. For some reason even though I was paid for my last contract in February I can still access the website and the last 9K contract is still there.
Once I lose access, I will stop answering BG questions.

Edit- I am so upset that you will lose RCI access. That is really a disaster.

I have also used RCI for years, my friend Gail just last month exchange for HGVC Big Island for two weeks in 2026. I used nightly stays for many years to stay at the Manhattan Club and Hilton Club/West 57 for 4/5 nights to go to the theatre.
HGVC Lagoon Tower in Hilton Hawaiian Village x 2.
We have stayed at the Crane Residence Club in Barbados, Windjammer Landing in St Lucia 3 times. Fitzpatricks Castle in Ireland and in Scotland, Kilconquhar Estate and Country Club 4BR & Hilton Grand Vacations at Craigendarroch 3BR, (had to cancel that one.

So many opportunities lost by these changes
