Recently I have started getting calls from 904-638-7899 number. I have not been able to trace it to the owner (did reverse 411 etc) .

They tell me they have buyers for my HGVC points and will pay handsome money. Every time I asked them to provide details about their company I did not get any. I asked for website etc all no luck

Anyone knows anything or have been getting calls?

And I am not sure how they even got my number

Example of what they say is

'I have a buyer willing to pay $2600 for 8000 points but need to sell in 24 hours, are you ready?'

any input is appreciated

Thanks in advance

ks

Since they are calling you and you are NOT running your own ads to sell, they are most likely trying to SCAM YOU.

You are getting no answers, because they don't have a web site - hence, no buyers

STOP ANSWERING! No good will come out of talking to them - they are not your friends - they want YOUR MONEY given to them.

Thanks I will stay away from them

You want to stay away from ANYONE who cold calls you with a deal that's too good to be true! After they have you hooked, they will ask for a large upfront fee that sounds legitimate, but isn't, and once they have your money, you'll never hear from them again.

Any deal that's too good to be true - IS NOT TRUE!

We get these calls all the time. Since they're ALWAYS scammers looking to take your money (all they need is $1,000 and the deal is done), they don't feel the need to abide by the do-not-call list. If you follow the buy/sell forum on this site, you see information pop up from time to time on this type of scam.

Now that you've answered the phone and shown some interest, the calls are likely to increase. We keep the calls to a minimum by not answering numbers we don't know. When no one answers the phone, the calls slow down. A month ago I made the mistake of answering the phone. We started getting calls daily. Sometimes mult. times a day. After a few weeks the calls have finally started to slow down to once every three or four days.

If you do answer the phone, as soon as they start in, just hang up. They're trying to scam you out of hundreds or thousands of dollars. Think about it, are there really people out there looking to buy timeshares at prices nearly what the developers are asking? If there were then you wouldn't see anything on E-bay and those pay-us-to-take-your-timeshare post card companies wouldn't dump those timeshares on E-bay for $1.

Scammers

I agree with everyone who has posted. They are scammers promising you everything you want to hear. NEVER EVER PAY MONEY UPFRONT!!! (Sorry for raising my voice.) If you need to sell (expect around 1/4 of what you paid through the developer,) use an honest broker. At this point, you may consider holding your purchase and enjoy what you have. Good luck!
