Does anyone know how reselling with Pinnacle Vacations works?

My understanding is that if I want to sell my Bluegreen timeshare, I could pay a fee to list it with Pinnacle Vacations and sell it with Charter Benefits. This would mean I could list it at a higher cost (as in higher than the basically free one that I could get on eBay.) So, in this case, could someone actually make money on a Bluegreen timeshare if it was paid off? I know this would take longer, but I am wondering if there would be an additional commission percentage taken by Pinnacle when selling with Charter Benefits as compared to selling without benefits. And do they impose a minimum price per point when selling this way? I would love to hear if anyone has had experience selling this way.

Thanks,
Ray

If you got it for free on eBay you’re not going to be able to sell it for not free. Do you think it has increased in value since you bought it? Upfront fee timeshare listing companies are all scams.

Not in your wildest dream. If it were possible- or even likely, don't you think corporate would be doing it?

I guess I forgot to clarify that I would be selling a deed that was bought retail. So, I am curious about how sales through Pinnacle Vacations work for a buyer and seller. My understanding is that they are the only authorized company that sells deeds with Charter Benefits other than directly from Bluegreen. Do they function as a Bluegreen Sales team that sells Bluegreen retail deeds and also offers non-charter listings on the side? Or do they facilitate the reselling of deeds that include Charter Benefits?

Do they want upfront money before whatever they offer what you owned for sale? If they take their commission out of the sale proceeds, and you're off the hook for MFs and fees, it might be a worthy way to divest, but if you either have to pay them upfront, or keep up MFs while they have it listed, it would be your clue to reconsider.

I'm skeptical.

@raykel Please clarify: Do you own this already? OR are you looking to buy and sell ("flip")?

If anyone is asking you for upfront money, its a scam. I would bet my home on it.

Any timeshare resale business that operates on a model of charging an upfront fee is a scam. If they could really sell your timeshare for actual money they would just take a commission off the backend.

Suggest OP and commenters review this:

Pinnacle has a long running relationship with BG, you can see they are the only 'authorized reseller' of BG. But it is also stated that BG ownerships purchased below 'retail' (as determined by BG) are not given Charter Benefits.

OP is asking a question very specific to BG and that relationship with Pinnacle.
For all I know Pinnacle may not even be an entity independent of BG. Boilerplate answers, even if directionally correct, are not that helpful in addressing OP's question.

You would probably be better asking this in the Bluegreen Vacations forum here on TUG. BG has also been very active with ROFR, so there may be some value there depending on what you own. Still nothing close to what you paid for it. Perhaps @GrayFal can weigh in on your question.

listings do sell for more on pinnacle because they retain the developer benefits when sold.

however pinnacle also charges a hefty commission, which would eat into your profit...if any.
