Does anyone feel the website is sluggish, or just me?

Just came back and it's ok right now.
 
newsletter went out today, so id expect a ton of extra traffic right now.

same, ive blocked 3 more ips...this is pretty wild.

Very, very slow during my use today, which I began about 1/2 hour ago...
 
ok...so we've been adding these ip bans up until now thru the forum software itself and while that prevents access..it still has to process the banned ip list and generate the "no access" page.

have started just banning these ips at the firewall and the moment i did the latest round, the server was fine.

that is wild
 
I just got back on after being gone for 5 or 6 hours and it is about as slow as it’s ever been. It’s taking about 10 seconds to load a page.

Yeah, same for me right about now too.
 
lets see who the top offenders are this hour! ill just start blocking them all on the firewall as it appears just blocking them on xenforo isnt the solution.
 
I wonder if they aren't all the same player, just standing up on new IPs when they get banned.
 
hard to tell, they are all over the place across the world...and given the reputation/reporting of those ip addresses its not like they are JUST targeting the forums. sofar none of the ips have ever matched any user registration.

2000+ other sites reported it as abusive....
 
Yep. Working fine now. I haven’t noticed a problem on any other sites but I really don’t view that many. Thanks for staying on top of it for us!
 
Everyday is a battle against the bad actor's. Some are likely Sovereign States Iran, China, North Korea,Russia.

That's why in that other thread about Windows 11 it's not worth cutting corners on an old Machine. Even if it feels line a Microsoft forced money 💰 grab.

New vulnerabilities pop up every day.

Strange, I just had a very hard time signing into the website.
