Nothing to do with gay necessarily. People have used this term neutrally for decades.Wrong direction, gramps...
Barebacking was in common use in gay communities basically as long as we've had gay communities. Rawdogging is more recent. Neither had anything to do with meditation. That therapist is, as they say in the UK, "taking the [urine]."
Corruption can work in the opposite direction. I agree that these two words are irredeemable, but this seems to be an attempt to mainstream a vulgar expression. That is also a corruption of the vernacular. You said "corrupting."
And that would be taking a nice, wholesome word and making it naughty. I have a dandy example of a "nice word gone bad," but this thread is probably already on thin ice.
I can think of words that are even more irredeemable than the above two. But not many.
I don't see this thread surviving long.
A Kindle is less than 6 oz and is very small. Can be tucked into the smallest of bags. Why wouldn't you bring this with? It's hardly "lugging".I don’t fly much at all, but the last couple of times I only ate my snacks and did nothing else. I don’t want to lug my kindle though I do like reading. I don’t want to watch a movie on a cell phone. (and I have a small IPhone SE 3 and I don’t have an iPad and I don’t have Bluetooth ear things/headphones either)
What I really miss is having internet because I like to be on social media and peruse the internet. I can’t sleep on a plane either.
I’m really concerned what I’m going to do when we go to Italy on such a long flight and long 6 hour layover in an airport.
For me the less stuff the better. Plus I keep it in a closed case and that adds a bit of bulk and weight. I rarely use the kindle at home even. Seem to always be on my phone.A Kindle is less than 6 oz and is very small. Can be tucked into the smallest of bags. Why wouldn't you bring this with? It's hardly "lugging".

Speaking of which- does anyone know how airplane wifi works and if it's worth it to purchase? I can't imagine being on a plane for 8 hours without using my phone. (yeah- I'm addicted to the connection it provides)
Not to mention another charging plug. I already need to bring my eye mask with its charging plug due to my dry eye disease. Then the thing you use if your cell phone runs out of battery while you are out on the tour. Then the plug adapters. Then the lightning chords for the phones. Between the two of us with these gadgets and plugs it’s crazy. To each their own.
You can download podcasts or audio books on your phone to listen to.
Also the plane will have plenty of entertainment options on the little screen in the seatback. Movies, TV shows.
For sure. I’m the OCD one. I don’t like the loss of control. Unless you give me alcohol- then I can throw caution to the wind. Some people require strict order, cannot tolerate changes or difficulties, and suffer anxiety at every corner. Others embrace change and uniqueness, roll with the punches, and carry a cest la vie attitude. The latter group will always fare much better with the uncertainness of travel.
You don't need a separate plug you just need the charging cable which may be the same type of cable that you use for other devices. Not to mention another charging plug. I didn’t know they still had those little screens. Domestically I haven’t seen those. Seems everyone has to view stuff on their phones and pads.
I still would love to have WiFi on an 8 hour plane ride, though.
When we are driving in a new Country we never get "lost." We are having an adventure. Some people require strict order, cannot tolerate changes or difficulties, and suffer anxiety at every corner. No I honestly don’t love to read on Kindle. I’ve got the paper white and the fire and barely use them. Especially the fire. It’s sitting dormant in my desk draw for years. You don't need a separate plug you just need the charging cable which may be the same type of cable that you use for other devices.
Hey - obviously "you do you" but if you love to read a Kindle seems like a no-brainer to me especially if you are anxious on how you are going to pass the time on a plane.
A simple google search provided me with this information. https://www.lufthansa.com/us/en/economy-class
Most likely all of these cables have one end is a USB. You only need a single USB charging block. Your hotels very well may have USB openings to charge next to the nightstand. Or you plug the charging block into the converter. No I honestly don’t love to read on Kindle. I’ve got the paper white and the fire and barely use them. Especially the fire. The paper white I use everyday for my exercise book. I do have a lot of stuff on it to read, but seem to never get around to it.
I do need separate charging cables for the phone and mask for example. As for plugs- don’t I need to bring the converter plugs for overseas? How would I plug the charging cables in at the hotels?
At home we use actual plugs made for the charging cables.
The usb end on my eye mask for example is different from the one on my IPhone SE3.Most likely all of these cables have one end is a USB. You only need a single USB charging block. I like traveling and adventure. I’m always up for a road trip. It’s just flying I hate. It really stinks these days. And that’s an understatement. TSA, baggage requirements, lousy and expensive airport food, last minute flight changes, delays, cancellations, crowds, etc. I hate all of it.When we are driving in a new Country we never get "lost." We are having an adventure.
