Do our enrolled weeks point totals count towards the Abound Owner Benefit levels?

We are happy weeks owners, but we see that some added flexibility would be nice to complement our portfolio. We have two EOY enrolled weeks, that total 3,275/year, and we are contemplating asking what Marriott would charge us to enroll one of our EY weeks, and if it makes sense to try and get to the Executive level to get the opportunity to get 25% off on bookings within 60 days. (If we enrolled a EY DSV or a EY NCV week and added say 1,000 points would that all combine to get us to the 7,000 points for executive?)

I apologize if this is confusing and worded poorly.
TIA

Yes, elected p oints values for enrolled weeks do count toward your ownership benefit level. Whether the cost to enroll is worth it is in the eye of the beholder, but most people will tell you no.

As to the points discount for close-in bookings, you should note that the discount at Executive is 25% within 30 days, not 60. It becomes 30% at 60 days at the Presidential level. Either way, the most desirable inventory is long gone by then, but if you don't mind off-peak season or overall less-desirable resorts (based on usage, but to many still quite good) it can be a nice benefit.

We hit enter at the same time - So I will add, usual cost is a purchase of the same number of points as you want to enroll.
Resale points also count for status after you pay the junk fee.
For me it was only 1000 points, I bought during the Covid no ROFR times so got them cheap and got up to Executive for the 13 month, more than the discount.

Yes enrolled week count for status.
25% off is only at 30 days for Executive, Presidential is 60 days and 30%.
And it is only if days are available, lots of places are gone by then. And Executive doesn't allow the puck trick. If you cancel and rebook at 30 days, point go into holding.

You will probably have to buy over 3K points to enroll one of those. Is it really remotely worth it to pay about $45,000.00 to get those discounts on last minute stays? If you need more points, just rent them when needed for around MF, and no upfront cost.

Thank you for the information and the replies. I wasn't aware that

Thank you for all of the replies! I wasn't aware that Executive is only 25% at 30 day. What does Executive for the 13 month more than the discount mean? How long do the points go into holding? I assume that by going into holding you can't use them. Is that correct?

Points in a holding account retain their original expiration date but can only be used to book reservations with a check-in date 60 or fewer days in the future. So they are only usable for last-minute reservations (if you can find one.) You may also be able to use them for resort credit or travel insurance, which is a poor value but better than letting them expire unused.
