Beach Towels
Coffe filters
Shampoo
Laundry detergent
Dishwashing detergent

Dishwashing stuff there or no?
Thanks for the info.

When we were there last summer, they did not always leave us with dishwasher tablets or detergent. They were rather stingy. Bring your coffee filters and I like my own shampoo, my husband is happy with what they provide. For coffee filters i think it's the flat bottom style with accordian edge, not the Melita style filters.

Bring what you can as everything is ridiculously expensive to purchase on the island.

Jack is right! Bring cereals, snacks, bread, peanut butter, tuna in the vacuum pack envelopes...what ever you like that will travel well! I read that people who don't have to travel a great distance, pack a cooler of lunch meats and frozen meats for dinners.

I am hoping to bring frozen meat with me from California. I will freeze it really well, and then pack in ice again (or put in hotel freezer overnight if they will let me) when I reach Florida. If it makes it that far, it should be okay. I will have my fingers crossed.

Why not just buy meat in Florida? There are some good Whole Food markets and more near FLL.

I found the supermarket near the resort (across the bridge...) fairly well stocked with food. The deli counter was more than adequate. I only packed dry goods and was happy.

Beach Towels - No, you get towels with your room key.

Coffee filters - Yes, you only get one. We also took our own coffee/tea bags. Also, the coffee cups are very tiny, we bring our own mugs.

Shampoo - No, but the size is only 3 oz. They will give you more on the mid-week cleaning.

Laundry detergent - Yes, they only give you one.

Dishwashing detergent - No, there should be enough for the week. They will give you more.

We pack lots of snacks, cereal, canned chicken/tuna for pitas and wraps. Take extra trash bags and zip locks bags. We also take insulated mugs (bubba kegs) to keep our drinks cool.

You can call and ask for more dishwasher soap==bring your own coffee filters==Mr. Coffee kind==I always bring my own shampoo but I am guessing if you call for it they will bring it==I have never gotten detergent upon arrival and have been going since 2001==I always bring it in individual baggies==boy I used to love those tablets but no one seems to make them anymore. You can call for more paper towels also--I always bring an assortment of plastic baggies in various sizes.
