Do I need a guest form for a weeks reservation?

Sorry if this is really a dumb question, but we haven’t had any guests since the form was initiated.

I made a weeks reservation and I put my son’s name in it when I made the reservation because I knew it was for him and we would not be there. I also used my email because I know he can be a little disorganized. The actual email says “ thank you for booking with us John Doe”. John Doe is my son, obviously not me or my husband.

So do we still need to do a guest form?

I don't think so, and I wouldn't ask for a 2nd confirmation, because the people at Marriott who hand-enter the guest info. in the system are easily confused, and there is no way to explain on the form what you are doing. I would print out the reservation and give him a hard copy, and make sure he understands the situation. However, he shouldn't muddy the waters by voluntarily announcing that he is the son of the owner at the front desk, because that could make it appear that there is a problem where none exists.

No you do not need to complete the guest info because you added his name at the time of making the reservation.
