I have a Disney ticket question but I'd like to contact someone privately. Maybe I'm paranoid because I doubt Disney is monitoring TUG. If someone thinks they can help, please message me.

I do not own Disney. But have you been to the Disney web site. To ask you questions about Disney ticket.?

I’m not referring to the Disney website on TUG.
Also, you might can ask your Disney ticket question on Cruise Critic..
Disney Cruise Critic website is very intone to everything about Disney?

The Disney web site and Disney Cruise Critic websites are very actve and with some good information; about everything about Disney. IMHO.

Disboards is where I go to look for esoteric Disney information. I don't hang out there as I liken the experience to putting your mouth to a firehose to get a drink of water but if you're looking for something searchable (or are willing to browse through the FAQs and forums) there is no better source of Disney information.

Occasionally even that has failed and I've had to post a question. And never failed to get the answer...

Thanks. This is a specific question that I've been given conflicting answers. It's in regard to really old non-expiring tickets we have. I just don't want to explain details in a public forum.

If you are wondering if Disney World will accept non-expiring tickets of any era, the answer is YES! There are TikTok/IG videos where people found non-expiring 30+ year old tickets in a parents/grandparents home, they took the tickets to WDW, and they were allowed in. But, they must be for admission, decades ago WDW sold tickets for rides, so those are not eligible.

Some general thoughts about such tickets:
  • You can use the remaining days on them for admission.
  • You can use the remaining value towards the purchase of a new ticket, but it is a better deal to use them for admission.
  • You may have to trade the physical tickets in for a new physical piece of plastic to use the current admission system.
  • If they are partially used, they are supposed to still be used by the same person. However, if they are old enough, there might not be a way for Disney to tell.
  • If they are not currently tied to any individual's biometrics, they probably will the first time you use them now.
  • If they were child tickets, and the child has "grown up", they can still be used by that person without fee.
Ultimately, the only way to get real answers is to either (a) ask someone at a Disney ticket counter (but even then you might get different answers) or (b) try to do what you are hoping to do with them and see if it works. Folks with significant experience can tell you what is likely, but probably no one can tell you what is certain, because some of these questions depend on the discretion of the cast member you are talking with.

The VERY old tickets were a heavy paper "pass"that was not associated with anyone. You take them to guest services and have them exchanged for a ticket that will read on the new system. They will likely be Comp tickets-cannot be changed in any way. If it was nonEx, they should give you nonEx dates thru 2029. But, they might not have ability to do that anymore.

The "newer" old tickets (printed paper key cards) also have to be exchanged for above. They might have been associated with someone, but we were given tickets that anyone could use for the 1st visit. Once attached to a MDE account, they cannot be later transferred.

I had this discussion with at Disney Guest Services last week. They will honor any ticket that is not expired. Keep in mind that some if not all "non expiring" tickets actually do have an expiration on them. My specific situation was that I have multiple vouchers for Weekday select and FL seasonal passes as well as renewal vouchers for both. I've tried by phone, email and chat to get a definitive answer and was never able to do so. What I was told and seemed credible was that the pass vouchers would simply map to the closest current pass, in this case the pixie pass and pirate pass. However, the info on the renewals was that they were only good as a credit even if I had an active pass I could renew. I'm going to hold the renewals and then once I do use one I am going to revisit the renewal option just in case rather than trading them in now for a Disney Gift card.

Our friends still have the tickets that were the original passes with the pluses to use at water parks (and Disney Quest when there was such a thing). They go every two years or so and visit every park in a single day with those tickets. We did two parks in one day last December with them. It was too much walking for a single day, but I think it's great that they can still use and even abuse those tickets a bit.

I have old the Disney Five (5) passes plus the water parks. The problem is I have no ideas where they are located after more than forty (40) years LOL.

I still have 2 of the 4 day plus 4 plus option tickets. I think they were FL only. They expire in 6 months once used but don't have any other limitations. I'm pretty sure they too are park hoppers.

Doesn't Disney still sell those types of passes from time to time? I recall them offering them at one point over the last few years. I don't think they would map these to an AP?

Let me add that I added all of my old tickets and passes to my online account a few years ago. I created a dummy person and put any ticket under that name I didn't want to use and the reassigned as needed. Unfortunately all of the 7 & 10 day non expiring tickets have been assigned and used to some degree although several family members still have days left and a whole bunch of water park days remaining.

I don't recall seeing those exact types in a long time but what they have done is sell 3 & 4 day discounted passes that have certain dates where they are good usually for FL residents only. They do have special tickets for Military, conferences and currently, Disney Plus I believe. Actually they have an option right now that must be used by Dec 23. That's the very reason I still have these passes remaining and have only recently reassigned some of the non expiring tickets because often when we go they have the 3 or 4 day FL resident specials and I've judged it better to buy one of those than activate a pass. The Military tickets are not available to veterans unless they are either active duty or actually retired military, other veterans do not qualify for the tickets nor for shades of green with some limited exceptions.

All my paper tickets were converted to plastic cards at some point. It turning out that some are assigned to people and some not. Or maybe they were all assigned to me and even if there was only a couple days, they are treated as unused and I am able to reassign them.

I appreciate everyone contributing your experiences. We may be in for surprises when we get there.
