Look how much Poly and Beach Club increased! My 3 resorts were not too bad, but I’m sure my Boardwalk will increase more next year after the indoor and outdoor total refurb,

I haven’t looked at any year over year Capital Reserves budget comparisons for BWV or any other resort, but I agree, I’m sure that amount is increasing to cover increased refurbishment costs. Labor, materials, furniture, etc. have all increased, probably more than expected when Capital Reserves budgets were set during the last number of years, and it all needs to be paid for.

At least they aren't seeing increases of 15-25% like some Marriott owners are discovering, including me.

I just did the math, and we are paying $592/ month ($7,105/year) dues and maintenance for our 874 DVC points. Yikes. Was kind of looking around for a small Riviera contract, but not now. I take some solace knowing I can easily rent out my points for $20 per, as our contracts are at 3 of the most desirable resorts. we never have leftovers yet…we are able to stay longer now that we are fully retired and now live closer and can drive. Plus want to get my money’s worth out of our annual passes. Maybe next year I’ll rent some out and use the $$ for cruising.

First year we owned OKW, we paid about $3 per point. The second year I think the dues actually decreased.

If you can double your MF's, you are $7,000 ahead, and if you can more than double the MF's, you are doing great. I get $20 per point pretty regularly, but I swear people plan way too late because most of my rentals are not more than 60 days out. I am always barely squeaking by when one comes through, or at least it seems that way.

I do love my Disney points for rentability, and I love the ability to trade into the Disney resorts with even my studios and one bedrooms.
