Anyone know of any discounts for Biltomore Estates? We are going in two weeks and would like to visit while at Fox Run.

Thanks,
Barb

You're going at one of the busiest times (hence, you've missed the best discount season). Check with your resort; they may have tickets at the desk that are a little less. If you want the AAA discount, you have to get that at AAA (they don't give it at the onsite ticket center). Plan to get there early in the day; to fully enjoy the estate you need several hours. If it's your first visit, the audio tour (about $8.00 each addt'l) is worthwhile -- it takes about two hours in the house (the audio is just for the house). If you do get your tickets ahead of time, it can be helpful to stop at the ticket center to get the map and guide brochure. You can take photos anywhere on the estate that guests are allowed, except inside the "house" (mansion/castle). If you haven't already gone to the Biltmore. com website -- it's worth getting familiar with ahead of time. (I like the additional "rooftop" tour as well; and if the weather's nice, a carriage ride can be pleasant).

AAA's modest discount is comparable to any other discount offered, not much. If you'd return for another visit, perhaps pre-Christmas, the annual pass is a decent deal.
