We are going on a cruise soon with 17 people. We are all staying the night before at BT. I would like to find a good and economical dining option within walking distance (say a mile or less). I've done some investigation on Google Maps and trip advisor without good obvious choices. Alternatively we could do pizza delivery or takeout (? Deli). Anyone have recommendations for that situation?

There are restaurants in the Mall below Beach Place Towers that would work, we like Con Murphy's Bar and Grill. If you are willing to spend a little more Coconuts is walkable, great atmosphere and delicious food.

Thanks, I did look at both of those options.

Highly recommend Coconuts….Con Murphy’s bar and grill is also a good choice…we had dinner at both when we stayed at BP in January.

We live in Ft Lauderdale and 1 of our favorites is the Wine Garden. Walkable from Beach Place. It's in an outdoor garden setting with lights strung between trees.
The cuisine is Italian with daily happy hours

I'll look at it, thanks.

The best restaurants within walking distance are Coconuts/G&B Oyster Bar and Casablanca Cafe.
Lona Cocina is a nice casual Mexican restaurant in the Westin, a short walk (north) of BPT.
411 South Bar & Grill is a decent spot and a short walk south, Pizza, Burgers, Salads and Tacos.
If you are bringing in Pizza I would recommend Luigi Coal Fired on Las Olas or Primanti Bros. (Famous Pittsburgh Sandwiches too) on A1A and Sunrise, both should deliver.
There are a 100 Restaurants/Shops and Art Galleries on Las Olas but that is about 2 miles away and not really walkable and with 17 that's probably a few too many ubers, but a great area to walk around. If you do make it there Louie Bossi for Italian or El Camino for Mexican are both great atmospheres and casual dining.
Have a great time Dean!

We enjoy Casablanca because it’s generally more locals than tourists. We also like Louis Bossi on Las Olas (it’s quite the scene!) but it is not walkable and you’ll need reservations for sure.

Thanks to you both, will look at the additional suggestions. Ultimately we need something easy, fairly quick and economical as everyone will be tired either having driven or flown much of the day and some have a very limited budget.

Pizza to go and there is a CVS in the plaza where you can get adult beverages.
