Did there use to be a Sheraton timeshare in St. Marteen?

I was looking through an old box of stuff (items from about 15 to 20 years ago) and I found stuff that looks like it was from a Sheraton timeshare on St. Marteen. Is there one now or was there ever one and what happened to it?

There is a new westin resort on dawn beach, and although hotel rooms are available through II as getaways, I dont bekieve there is or are plans for any timeshare units

The Dawn Beach Club is a timeshare/shared ownership development right next door to the Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa in St. Maarten.

At one time there was an agreement for the developer of the timeshare resort to license the Westin name from Starwood. That developer went bust (IIRR) and the new developer didn't use the Westin name. (I suspect Starwood terminated the license agreement for the use of the name.)

At one time Starwood may have wanted to see the fully-developed timeshare resort before considering letting it into the Starwood timeshare resort system, the SVO. However, the Dawn Beach Club has nothing to do with the Westin Dawn Beach Resort (the hotel and casino). And, it is not part of, the SVO.

Redweek.com has this note on it's Dawn Beach Club section:

"*Note: The timeshare ownerships at Dawn Beach Club share the amenities of the adjacent Westin Dawn Beach Resort but ownerships are not managed by Westin or Starwood."

Westin doesn't even own the hotel and casino. It just manages the place. Columbia Sussex (run out of Cincinatti, dumped from the Tropicana casinos and having strong ties to Marriott) owns the hotel and casino. Salty

Dawn Beach Club (DBC) is a timeshare, and not associated with SVO.
Westin Dawn Beach (next to DBC) is part of SPG hotel system, and is also not associated with SVO.

My family and I stayed at the Dawn Beach Club over a year ago. We had pretty much full use of the Westin hotel (pools, restaurants, gym, etc.). We had an awesome trip. Please PM me with any specific questions.
