Did anyone else get a data breach using Tug this morning

yep, most certainly lots of spyware/malware links out there that would pop up such a message on your PC!

hard to answer that without more info though, hopefully ill get a screenshot or a copy of the email soon.

Sorry Brian, no screen shot. A window popped up on the Tug page telling me that my passwords saved in google had been compromised. I didn't click the window. The window on the Tug page went to a new google page requiring passwords so I closed it and ran spyware. I haven't had a problem since then.

yea thats certainly not a TUG page feature and it doesnt sound like anything built into google either!

reads very much like some popup spyware/malware page.

what page were you on when it happened? one person mentions reviews, the other mentioned the forums? since those two pages run on not only different servers, but servers in completely different areas of the country...i cant imagine both of them somehow being compromised at the same time. (unless like suggested in another link, perhaps it was a google ad click?)

I was trying to look at resort reviews. As soon as I signed in to the resort section, the small window opened on the reviews page and then a google password page opened. I wasn't aware of any adds. My login is different in the marketplace so I had to log in.

hmm...please take a screenshot (just hit alt-printscreen on keyboard) to save the desktop view to your clip board. from there you can paste it into ms paint to save as a screenshot.

id truly like to see what this looks like to get a better idea of what could be causing it. there are definately no pop up windows anywhere on TUG.

Its too late Brian. I already ran super anti- spyware and haven't had a problem since. Generally, I never do what my laptop wants regarding odd requests.

Brian, here is a screen shot. It happened again when I logged in to look at the wish list adds. When I click the window it takes me to a page that requires my google password.

The screenshot you posted is likely legit. Google has a feature where they run your stored passwords against a list of credentials from known breaches. If they get a hit, they will notify you and recommend you change your password. Again, this likely stems from using weak passwords or the same password across multiple sites.

It has nothing to do with TUG or TUG's credential store.

I wonder if chrome picked this up as a data breach because I use two different user names. I recently had changed all of my passwords maybe 6 months ago with the exception of tug. I guess I will change it it too.

yea thats def a legit google message as mentioned above. usually you can click or hover over the little grey circle with an exclamation point in it to get more details on why its popping up for you.
