The Buyer/Transferee needs to understand that resell DRI Points can only be used to Book directly only into the Home Collection (US). They can not be used to Book directly into other Collections.
 
The DRI US points seemed to be used anywhere HGV has to offer as far as I can tell. I never booked outside US, but my home page showed opportunity to book wherever HGV properties are located.

The difference is that you own something bought directly from the developer, anyone taking this over from you will be resale and that comes with restrictions. Have you tried contacting HGV to ask about a deedback through Transitions? There will be a fee, but that may be the easiest way to get out. The restrictions that HVC puts on these on resale is almost always a deal killer.
 
Well, they won't do Transitions...And they told me back when I bought up to silver, the value would double after 5 yrs and I can sell after 5 yrs....:(
 
LOL. Were the Sales Person's lips moving when they said that? Actually it is hard to get some one to take DRI Points even for free. You would have to sweeten the pot. Perhaps paying all transfer fees/costs and a year's worth of Maintenance Fees.
 
Nobody lied, the value did double after 5 years and will double again after another 5 years. The problem is the value is negative and just gets worse with every maintenance fee increase.
