Anyone having trouble with Diamond Resorts on selling a unit? I have buyer. I have sold at least 20 timeshares so I'm familiar with the process. This particular one is in Paris so it has to go through their european unit. I have called (no one speaks English). I have written 4 times. I have talked to their Las Vegas HQ and they gave me the EU customer service email. Three emails so far, no reply. I called the London England Office. They gave me the French number and email. No response.

I wrote to the current AND previous chairmans of their board. Nothing

I tried my usual Timeshare Closing Service, which are great, but they can't buy/sell outside of the U.S./Canada.

Ridiculous. Anyone run into this where Diamond doesn't want to allow their units to be sold to someone else? That's the only thing I can think of is going on.

This is a $13,000 sale. I'm thinking of suing, because if it falls through it'll be because of all this and I'll clearly have damages.

Is this part of a European collection of points or is it a single deeded timeshare managed by DRI. I seem to remember something from years ago that European collection owners could only sell resale to existing collection owners. I have no clue what the basis for that was.

It's a straight 1 week deeded ownership that I bought in the aftermarket about 7 years ago.
