I cannot seem to find a map of the resort; my question is what buildings are the closest to the JW Marriott. Would like to walk over the shortest distance to the JW Marriott. Thanks,

All maps can be found here.

This thread, and many other useful stuff can be found in the Weeks FAQ Stickie.

Thanks for the resort map link. I had not seen that before.

Thank you for this list. The maps have been removed from the Marriott owner site. Not sure if thiis temporary or permanent.

Buildings E, F and G would provide the shortest walk. The balconies of the 1BR’s in building E would overlook a hole on the golf course, but would be closer to Cook St. Those in buildings F and G overlook a hole on the golf course and have the have the JW on the other side. They would also have a distant view of the mountains. I tried to upload a picture of the map, but it was too large.

Best regards.

Mike

Someone else had pointed that out a while ago. It was the inconsistencies over the years of these maps being available online, then not available, then available again that led to me creating the list. It comes in as invaluable when they take them off the site again as they have.

I would avoid Bldg E (it looks out to cook street as do A-E) these are my least favorite bldgs. Also Bldg F gets a lot of people walking past the side of it. If you get on the end unit you will find people looking in your unit and watching you all the time. I would recommend Bldg G, H, I, or J. And remember they have shuttles running all the time to take your over to the hotel regardless of where you are in the resort. They have many shuttle stops.

Whenever I want to figure out a resort layout, I do a google search. Some maps have limited resolution but it works well for me.

I do the same to get the basic building layout. Then for the "true" building orientation, I use Google Earth for high resolution and for other details of the local area.

I believe the end of alphabet letters are closest.

Closest to the hotel, which was the original question in this thread.
Okay. I was confused because end of the alphabet would be w, x, and y and those are not the closest to the hotel when looking at the map.

You are absolutely correct. Google earth shows the true layout.

The OP was asking about the buildings that would provide the shortest walk to the hotel.

Best regards.

Yeah. You're, at least, not supposed to walk across the golf course.

You can drive (assuming that you have a transponder) from DSV1 to JW. You can also walk using the same roads, without walking across the golf course.

Recently came back from DSV1. We were located in F building on a top floor as requested. This is the closest building to the JW and can be reached by walking along the road that the shuttle uses, took around five minutes.
