DeSantis wants to eliminate Florida property taxes. How might that impact Florida TS owners?

Increase the Homestead exemption to people who live there year round or most of the year and make the non-resident owners pay more to continue to fund the localities. I know the houses near us are selling for over $1M and they were a lot less about seven years ago, so their property taxes go up. Every house sold means more property taxes come in. Even with local funding costs going up, our individual property tax stays about the same every year. And it's less than my homeowners insurance and flood insurance combined. Homeowners insurance is our biggest cost.

I love Florida, except for the ghastly hot summers. I would love to live there, in a townhouse or retirement community with no yard work. Rick is the opposite. I think he might change his mind in 15 years, when all of the littles are out of high school, but we will be 85. :)

50 billion dollars, I would love to know where the Governor of Florida can find 50 billion dollars in today’s economy?

Politicians are like the salesmen. They move their lips. Therefore their pants are on fire.
How can any federal or state agency eliminate 50 Billion Dollars from its budget?

How many services will be totally eliminate?
