looking to book a non stop to st. thomas. delta or american are my choices though delta seems much cheaper now. I heard delta cancels a lot so I am concerned. going august 11 and don't want to wait too much longer to book. any suggestions?

Where are you flying from? I have read a lot of articles/posts on other sites where people have said flights from Boston to most Caribbean locations are either cancelled (and bunched into another later flight) or are changed from a non-stop to a layover in Miami. Most of the posts that I have seen this info were related to Delta flights.

Why not check seat availability to see how many they have sold. They would have problems canceling a flight that was nearly full.

In today's market, its a crap shoot. I have over 1.5 Million Miles on AA and over 600K on Delta. Both have been good to me with no real problems on either airline. I pick whichever has "real" airplanes going where I want, not regional jets.

All things being equal, and they rarely are, my pick is Delta for their Crown Room and free booze.

I always go with the cheaper flight, assuming your choices are reputable airlines. Don't have time to worry about the other stuff.

We have flown the SFO-ATL-STT route on Delta twice - with no problems.

Cost this time was only $675pp RT - purchased 6 months in advanced.

David and Robin, or anyone!

My husband and I are flying from ORF (Norfolk, VA) to Saint Thomas for a Tradewinds Cruise next May. The best I've seen is $600 + fees RT/pp with AA. It's still pretty far out. We don't fly all that much. We're wondering whether to take this fare or wait. Anyone's experiences with Caribbean flight fares and when to purchase suggestions would be greatly appreciated. P.S. There's really only one flight coming and going with only one stop and the shortest flight times available for the dates we need. Currently, 95% of the seats are still available on these flights.
