Delta airline website question

I constantly look at the Delta website. I am flying to Nassau with the husband to our timeshare on the 9th. We have flights booked and our schedule is online and I also have seats for us. I just looked tonight and now when I sign in with my Skymiles number and pin it will not let me sign in without also listing my last name and when I do that then it asks for my email address saying it does not see my email address on my Skymiles account. Is this a scam or has Delta changed their website in the past day or so? I got out of it and did not provide any more info. Help!! Thanks in advance!:ponder:

I believe its legit. Asking for your last name is actually a layer of protection Delta has added which prevents folks from inserting any account # and then running a bot to find a password (I can't imagine why anyone would want to).

After signing in, click on "Profile" at the top of the page and you can check to see if they have your correct physical address, e-mail address and phone numbers for contact purposes.

changes are in the works

I just logged onto my account and you are right - they asked for my last name which is new. However, unlike your experience I was able to get right in. I guess they see my email in their files.

One of their agents told me on Monday to get ready for a rough couple of weeks as they make the transition to a merged system with Northwest. This may be part of that transition.

Yes, this was new for me yesterday as well. They asked for my email address and last name. After completing the updated information, everything was fine. I guess this is an update to their website. I usually go on their website daily, so I know this is legit.

Some of us NW Worldperks members were hoping that this would not happen until December or so, allowing us to try to burn our remaining WP miles before they got devalued into crappy Skymiles. If not for a very demanding work schdule the first 8 months of the year, my WP miles would be all gone and I would not have to worry about the DL takeover and ff program devaluation.

Sorry, looks like it happened last night, at least for me it did.
