Exchanged into "Berkshire on the Ocean" in Oct.......Read really good reviews...Have u been? Pros and cons......thx
 
I was just in Delray Beach for the day yesterday. We went right by the resort but didn't stop there. It is by the Linton Blvd bridge over the Inter Coastal and appears to be in a quiet residential like area. It's about 2 miles down from Atlantic Ave which is the hopping/ happening area of Delray Beach. The reviews in Trip advisor seem very good for that resort. You will love the area.
BTW, we had a great dinner at the Atlantic Grill last night in the Seagate Hotel right on Atlantic Ave about 2-3 blocks down from the Ocean. I would highly recommend it and our waiter Matty from Staten Island, NY was great.

While reading the Palm Beach Sunday paper yesterday, a writer rated the 38 communities in Palm Beach County. Delray Beach was rated 3rd best overall finishing ahead of places like Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, etc. great choice for a vacation destination. We usually stay on Singer Island at one of the Marriott TS resorts when down in this area, but we're staying in South Beach this time at the new MVC here. We went up to Delray yesterday to visit friends who have a condo there, for the day.

I stayed at another VRI resort, Berkshire by the Sea a few years back on an II exchange and loved Delray Beach. We actually didn't rent a car - flew to Ft Lauderdale and took the Tri Rail train from there to Delray Beach. Everything was in walking distance. Some great restaurants there. The Blue Anchor pub was a find - live music and good pub food.

We'll be renting a car cuz we know a couple folks in Ft Laud...So we'll be traveling....Not to mention, we'd like to check out the area..I saw a few videos about DB...Looks quite lively....Must check out the bars and restaurants..
