Deeded Frenchman's Cove Value

The subject is the cause of devaluation of timeshares, particularly Frenchman's Cove. A messenger is sent by an authority to deliver bad news, hence the term your referencing, here the authors seem to be delivering that message on their own. I don't need anyone to inform me on the valuation of my timeshare, I can read it here, again and again, from owners, such as you, I assume. And your assumption about my purchase and its origins is, well, presumptuous.
you registered on TUG more than a decade ago. the resale market has not changed significantly in all that time.

the OP asked about the value of their timeshare, as do thousands and thousands of other owners every year on TUG. they are told the same thing because its still the same answer.

I am happy with my deeded purchase(s) but not the purchase of my points from MVC.
having more information before making any financial decision tends to improve the chances of that being a good decision! this applies to just about everything I can think of (not just timeshares).

What makes you disappointed in your abound points? did you buy retail?

Yes I bought a Barony Beach Gold bundle a years back. It has a decent point value and decent MF vs. points MF. I'm able to rent it on Redweek and make $700-$800 each year. With that said I would have been better off buying points on the open market. The point system is a ripoff.

buying anything retail is almost always a terrible deal, thats not limited to a points ownership!

Welcome to TUG @loumart

On Redweek.com , there are 24 2-bedroom units listed, 9 are Gold Season, 15 are Platinum season
Gold weeks are 18 - 35 and 45 - 50

The Gold are priced from $275 - $2800.
The $275 is pending. Next lowest is $500.

Maintenance fees are listed at $2900. So each week of vacation costs at least that much, plus the airfare, plus rental car, plus food , & entertainment.
when I look at the rental ads, I see very few Gold Season weeks that are asking more than $2900 - so they're not recouping the maintenance fee.
That is what is driving down the sales price.
