I am just wondering if there are any Marriott DC Points Owners only on this forum. I've been reading lots of posts since last year, but haven't come across someone who owns only Marriott points like us.

That's what I thought, but just wanted to double check.

There is so much info on here and lots that I find hard to understand and not sure if they apply to us or not.

Sometimes I'm not sure if I should only read the Marriott forum or the Points System forum...

No matter what, I really appreciate this site.

This forum pertains to all Marriott ownership- weeks and points. As you hang out here you'll learn a lot about the different resorts as well as the nuances of using points to best obtain the reservations you want.

The biggest differences from what you own and all the posts is that you do not have the option to trade in weeks, but you can still make reservations at any of the resorts (subject to availability) for any length of time you want and for any arrival day, and are not restricted to ownership in only a certain season at a specific resort. As strictly a points owner, all your points are trust points, so you don't have to worry about 2 pools of inventory, except insofar as if you want to reserve a week not in the trust a legacy owner has to have placed it in the exchange pool by exchanging their week for points.
